Dark Oracle Cards: “Mythical Creatures and Monsters”
This deck is about encountering the shadow, archetypes, and forces that influence your path.
Each creature is a living energy, a lesson, a warning, or a hint.
Preparation
- Shuffle the cards while thinking about your question.
The question should be clear: “What do I need to know?”, “What awaits?”, “How should I act?” - Draw the cards intuitively, when your hand feels the “call.”
Three-Card Spread
Minimal, but very precise.
- Past / root of the situation — why everything happened this way.
- Present / state of energies — what’s currently influencing.
- Future / outcome — where everything is heading and what you’ll see next.
This spread shows the dynamics of events and the main lesson.
Six-Card Spread
For deep analysis and understanding the hidden.
- Shadow of the past — what shaped the situation, but you may not have noticed.
- Action of the past — the event or choice that opened the path.
- Shadow of the present — what influences but remains hidden.
- Action of the present — what you’re doing now or what’s happening.
- Likely outcome — where these forces lead.
- Advice of the dark guide — how to avoid the trap or use the monster’s power.
This spread reveals hidden mechanisms and provides a direction for action.
Nine-Card Spread
The full portal — for major decisions, fateful questions, or life cycles.
- First row — past (what shaped the situation)
- Second row — present (what moves events now)
- Third row — future (what’s emerging ahead)
Nine cards also show:
- pitfalls
- karmic lessons
- helpers and enemies
- likely transformation
This is a “door-to-door” spread — the path, the fall, and the emergence.
Interpretation
Read each card:
- Upright — strength, assistance, lesson, hint
- Reversed — warning, trap, inner shadow, or something that must end
Remember:
There are no good or bad meanings in the cards, only hints for you to use. The Dark Oracle never frightens — it shows the truth where you cannot see it.
Closing Ritual
After the spread:
- thank the creatures
- put the cards back
- write a conclusion — one sentence that will become your action
How to use the deck daily
- One question — one card — for daily advice or warning
- Card of the day — articulates the energy of today
- Shadow card — what I don’t see in myself, but which influences me
Main principle of the Dark Oracle
The cards don’t say “fate is decided.”
They say: here’s the power, here’s the enemy, here’s the path — the choice is yours.
