The Mermaid

LEGEND
The Mermaid isn’t simply a girl of the water, but a soul claimed by the waves, which never let go of those who approach carelessly. Folklore says she appears before those whose hearts are weak: gripped by fear, doubt, or the desire to hear a beautiful lie instead of a bitter truth.
She can appear in many forms, as beautiful as she can be terrifying. One must remember: the mermaid is deadly. Her extraordinary power is to enchant, create illusions, and lure her victim into a trap.
• Her voice is a gentle song that lowers your guard.
• Her gaze is like the depth of a river, hiding darkness.
• Her smile is a trap leading into cold water.
Mermaids never act violently; they bewitch so that the victim willingly draws closer. They don’t seek the strong, but those who crave approval, compliments, attention, an easy path, or a sweet illusion.
It was believed that she arrives:
• when temptation that can destroy is near;
• when someone tries to gain trust for their own gain;
• when flattering words are used as weapons;
• when weakness lives in the heart, calling toward dangerous depths.
As the old saying goes:
“The Mermaid doesn’t pull. She calls — and you walk toward her yourself.”
