The Frog

LEGEND
In folk tales, the Frog wasn’t merely a swamp creature — it was also considered a guardian of hidden treasures and a spirit of earthly wealth. The old healers said it’s born where the earth “spits out” its gifts: gold, jewels, harvest, and luck.
In legends, it was called:
— “The Keeper of Wealth,”
— “She Who Sits on Treasures.”
The Frog could sense places where value is hidden — in the earth, in fate, in people. It’s slow, moist, and always hungry, for wealth belongs to those who can accept abundance without fear or shame.
According to the tales, if the Frog appeared before a person, it was a sign:
“Blessing for prosperity has been granted.”
At the same time, it symbolized greed if a person could not exercise restraint. Just as it can bestow wealth, it can also take it away.
