The Red Cat

LEGEND
In ancient legends, it was said that the Red Cat isn’t merely an animal, but a fiery guardian spirit, born from a spark of the sun that fell into the night forest. It moves between worlds and always finds those standing on the threshold between light and darkness.
It sees what humans cannot:
• shadows creeping near;
• small signs warning of danger;
• intentions not yet acted upon.
In folklore, it was called “Sparkseer,” “Flame Guardian,” or “Threshold Keeper.” Wherever the it appears, evil cannot come close: it drives away nightmares, breaks curses, and wards off malevolent spirits, even if it seems small and unremarkable.
But it isn’t only a protector — it’s also a hunter. Those who underestimate it quickly learn that a small predator can have mighty teeth.
It’s alleged that the cat growls only when danger is already very near, and its goal is to warn, not frighten. It symbolizes light, cleverness, vigilance, and protection that comes in the smallest, most unexpected forms.
It’s a spirit of well-being and guardianship, whispering:
“See less — feel more. Small signs save you from great danger.”
